HAIR CARE

Hair Care :

  1. Co-Washing, Shampoo & Conditioner  :
  • It is highly recommended to always co-wash bundles before every installation.
  • When detailing the hair before/after co-washing your bundles, its best to detangle hair by starting from the ends and working your way to the scalp. Be gentle with your bundles babe!
  • Using a wide tooth comb, gently comb through hair to evenly coat hair with shampoo or conditioner. Making sure to work product through hair to pick up any leftover dirt within the bundle.
  • The use of a quality shampoo or conditioner is recommend. It's best to avoid any alcohol based products because it will dry out your bundles. Use a good shampoo no higher than PH7.
  • SHAMPOO=LUKEWARM/HOT; CONDITIONER=COLD. When rinsing out shampoo its best to use warm water. When rinsing out the conditioner it is recommended to use cold water to better help lock in moisture.
  • When conditioning the hair, lather the conditioner thoroughly throughout bundle.  Let sit for 5 Minutes, then rinse. Remember to comb out using wide tooth comb and to rinse using cold water.
  • Its recommended to let bundles air dry to receive the best results
  1.     Styling :
  • Remember babes, this is a protective style! The purpose of wearing weave is to give your natural hair a healthy break, so do just that. You want to only use minimum heat on your leave out so be sure to wrap your hair at night. Slap that bonnet on and call it a night!
  • Those braids underneath those tracks are not going to dry themselves! Actually they will, but you run the risk of hair molding and mildew smell which typically leads to breakage. Its best to take a break and sit under the dryer for at-least 40 minutes to 1 hour to make sure those braids are completely dry underneath.
  • Using too many, or heavy oily products on our bundles is not recommended. This can cause a build up of grease which will undeniably weigh down the hair. Heat Protectant and Hair Silk is an exception only if used sparingly.

  1. Bed Time :
  • Its not a requirement, but we do recommend using a satin scarf or pillow case when sleeping to better protect your hair at night. Satin is key in helping you hair retain moisture & reduce frizziness. It also helps keep hair stands soft and silky.
  • For our Curly and Wavy textures, we recommend sectioning the hair into parts with braids or twist. This extra step will help maintain the curl pattern and help keep the waves defined. Once Sectioned off, tie down your scarf/ bonnet & you’re all set. ( The Pineapple method is also beneficial; especially with our curly texture! )
